1. Overview
-----------

Welcome to Money Mirror Deluxe -- a simple lightweight
accounting program for the PalmOS built from the source code in
Money Mirror with a number of extra enhancements:

- Sorting of an account by date
- Purging of an account (removing all transaction data, but
leaving the balance the same)
- Editing of Transactions from the Browse Screen
- Setting of default accounts for Transactions (the same for
Deposits soon)
- and other features.

2. Installation / Upgrade
-------------------------

The installation / upgrade to Money Mirror Deluxe is fairly easy
and is the same as installation for Money Mirror freeware.

If you already have been using Money Mirror, and have PocketC Runtime installed, simply synchronize both the MMirror PDB and PRC files to your PalmOS device.

Otherwise, install the PocketC runtime from the included subdirectory in this folder. If your PalmOS device has a newer version of PocketC already installed, you can use that. Currently, Mathlib is not required.

*** Your accounting data will remain on your PalmOS device as long as you do
not delete PocketC. ***

3. Where to get the manual
--------------------------

The manual for Money Mirror Deluxe is available to
http://pakl.net/apps/manual/. Screenshots of new features in action take
a little while to get incorporated.

2. Bugfixes and New Features
----------------------------

version 1.2 -- November 16, 2001

It's been quite a while since work has been done on the code!

- fixed a sorting bug that had been pointed out to me (sorting
was alphabetic rather than numeric, so 1 and 10 came before 2.)

- fixed a bug on the browse screen -- tapping above the
the list of transactions could sometimes cause a crash or error (it
had originally been a row of data but does not carry content in
the current versions.)

version 1.1 -- March 7, 2001

 - The long-awaited scroll buttons now work in the Browse screen!
Money Mirror Deluxe allows you to set the increment of the
scroll buttons to 1 or 5 at a time using the new "Step" button.
 - On the Account Preferences Screen, click on Defs... to access
Money Mirror settings. Currently one is implemented: whether to
   show the numberpad or not.
 - Fixed bug on a screen so that clicking the "Amount:" box lets you
edit the amount of the transaction instead of having to re-enter it.

version 1.00 AND version .95: (Feb 12, 2001)
 - Fixed bug with Delete function -- in previous versions deleting more
than one transaction at a time was buggy.
 - The Browse screen now shows the numbers of the entries being viewed.
 - Money Mirror accounts that are accessed are now automatically
set to be backed up during HotSync.
 - Full-sized textbox appears for descriptions now so that there's ample
   room for longer descriptions.
 - Various tweakings.

version .94: (11/19/00)
 - improved GUI code, allows on-screen text editing/entry
 - added number pad for entering transaction values.
 - fixed bug in keeping displayed current balances completely updated (bug which
 had
   been reported by others earlier).
 - made account creation and deletion code work more smoothly and more correctly
 - Report button now exports CSV formatted data so it can be imported into
   spreadsheet programs.

version .93: (10/15/00)
 - Corrected appearance of "0" account after user deletes account 1 in the
MMirror preferences file. (When this "0" account was deleted, PalmOS would d
isplay
   and error message and crash.)
 - Added Up/Down buttons by date fields so that it isn't necessary to spend time
 penning
in dates for transactions from a few days ago.
 - Money Mirror now has an ICON!

version .92: (9/7/00)

 - Fixed bug so account balances are up to date upon restarting the program.
 - Made the code faster at displaying the screens (made the list of available
databases globally available rather than queried multiple times)
 - Now, when Browsing an account, the app defaults to showing the 5 most recent
transactions (rather than the 5 first transactions.)
 - Miscellanious fixes.

version .91 : Fixed bug where slots on the main screen would not update
correctly when the account to display was changed.

Thank you for purchasing Money Mirror Deluxe.
